Dr. Jamie Houser is a therapeutic optometrist and certified glaucoma specialist who graduated magna cum laude with her BS in Biomedical science from Texas A&M University. She then graduated summa cum laude and among the top in her class from the University of Houston, College of Optometry in 2009. During her doctoral education, she received extensive training in the areas of corneal diseases and treatment, retinal diseases such as diabetes and glaucoma, and vision therapy from some of the top doctors in the Houston area. She also enjoys complex contact lens fits and working with children. She has received many awards, including Excellence in Family Practice, Excellence in Contact Lens, and the Dr. Zipper Award for Leadership and Character. In addition, she is an active member of several state and local optometric organizations such as the American Optometric Association, the Texas Optometric Association, and the Harris County Optometric Society.
